NS Dolphins Win Against Springfield Tiger Sharks

The North Springfield Swim Club (NSSC) Mighty Dolphins won its first meet of the 2010 NVSL Swim Season. The Dolphins are working under the direction of their new head Coach, April Brassard. Team Captains are Betsy Kruse and Adam Wattenberger. Assistant Coaches are Nathan Seeto and Betsy Kruse.

The NSSC is celebratings its 50th year, and is growing its swimming and diving program. There are 11 new swimmers in the beggining swimmers program called Little Flippers. Madison Cruz swam in her first A meet after a strong showing in her first B meet against Lincolnia on June 26th, she graduated up to A meet status. Congratulations Madison.

Returning seniors are Chris Fuller and Katherine Parker.

A great big Thank You to the Springfield Tiger Sharks for hosting this meet, it was fun and full of quality sportsmanship. Thank you to Becky Hoisington who heads our Tables and keeps the operations running smoothly, and a thank you to Chief Timer Jason Parker and his group of dedicated timers. Stroke and Turn judges Debbie Villafana and Janet Zorn, always dedicated and supportive of the team. Both Debbie and Janet have swimmers on the team, Alec Villafana and Bekah and Jon Zorn, respectively.

I am really very excited about the growth of our team, and will continue to thank all of those who support the efforts as a whole.

Thanks to Donna Kruse, Clare Weber, Bob and Colleen Sweeney, Steve Slough and dedicated and hard working referee, Mr. Lee Fuller, Skip and Rayanne Pirozzi, Nancy Kaegi, Emily Slough, Alicia Ward, Jan Pots and one of our newest and most eager supporters, Mr. Patrick Collins, who has a nephew, Logan, a new swimmer with the club.
