The Holmes Run Acres (HRA) Hurricanes seek a Head Coach for the Summer 2026 season. The HRA Hurricanes are an enthusiastic and tight-knit community that values teamwork, personal achievement, and good sportsmanship. We believe swimming transcends competition—building confidence, developing lifelong skills, and forming lasting friendships, and we are looking for a Head Coach who shares these values. In addition to the team’s athletic responsibilities, we value our coaches as community members. As such, the Head Coach will be encouraged to attend all pep rallies and other social events. The Head Coach will lead 3-hour afternoon practices from late May until school lets out for the summer, transitioning to morning practices in mid-June and continuing through late-July. In addition, there are 1-hour evening practices on Tuesdays/Thursdays during June/July. The Head Coach will also provide coaching at all scheduled meets that our swimmers will participate in. To provide coaching for the HRA Hurricanes swim team at all scheduled practices and competitions in which the team participates from May 26, 2026, through the completion of the NVSL All-Star Championships on August 1, 2026. Special emphasis is placed on sportsmanship, ensuring safety in the pool while prioritizing a positive and fun learning environment for all swimmers during the summer season.
